DevicePIN – Terms of Service

Effective Date: November 15, 2025

DevicePIN ("we," "us," or "our") is owned and operated by 911 Vault Corp. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our websites, products, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using DevicePIN, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DevicePIN. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with applicable laws.

2. Registration and Account Security

Some features require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account information accurate
  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account

Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. You may delete your account at any time.

3. Your Information

a. Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the information you upload or provide ("Your Information"). You are responsible for ensuring Your Information is lawful and accurate.

b. How Your Information Is Processed

DevicePIN uses a protected hardware environment to encrypt your vault content.

When you submit vault information:

  • It is securely transmitted to our isolated secure environment
  • It is encrypted there
  • The encrypted vault file is sent back to you and your chosen Guardians

We do not see or store your unencrypted vault content. We do not retain encrypted vault files.

We only keep the metadata needed to operate the service (e.g., email addresses, timestamps).

c. Immutability

Your vault's rules and Guardians are sealed at creation to protect you. They cannot be changed by you or by us. If you want different Guardians or new rules, you must create a new vault.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to bypass or interfere with DevicePIN's security
  • Upload unlawful or harmful content
  • Use the Services to violate any law or third-party rights
  • Disrupt or damage the Services

You are responsible for your actions and Your Information.

5. Proprietary Rights

All content, software, and technology used by DevicePIN belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose.

6. Security and Privacy

We designed DevicePIN so that:

  • Sensitive data is processed only inside a secure environment
  • We cannot access your decrypted vault content
  • Vaults can only be unlocked when your configured rules are met
  • Vault rules cannot be modified after creation

No security system is perfect. If we become aware of an incident that affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

Your use of DevicePIN is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. Payments and Billing

Some Services require payment. All fees are prepaid and non-refundable unless we state otherwise.

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers and subject to their separate terms.

If you sign up for a recurring plan, you authorize automatic billing until you cancel.

8. Mobile Applications

If you use a mobile version of DevicePIN, your use may also be governed by the terms of the app store where the app is provided.

9. Third-Party Links

DevicePIN may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.

10. No Professional Advice

DevicePIN does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Our service should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional guidance.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Services
  • Your Information
  • Any violation of these Terms

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability will not exceed the greater of (a) fees paid in the last 3 months, or (b) $500

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and applicable federal law.

Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, unless you opt out as described in our arbitration policy.

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you. Continued use of DevicePIN after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent.
