DevicePIN – Simple Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 15, 2025

Thanks for using DevicePIN! We take your privacy and security seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we don't collect, and how your information is protected.

1. The Basics

DevicePIN is owned and operated by 911 Vault Corp. By using DevicePIN, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

DevicePIN is designed so we don't see, store, or access the sensitive information you put into your vault. Only you and the people you choose can ever use it.

2. What We Collect

a. Basic account information

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The email addresses of your chosen Guardians
  • Simple system logs (e.g., vault created, approval sent, request cancelled)

b. Your vault content (your PIN, notes, etc.)

When you create a vault, your information is:

  • Sent securely to our protected hardware
  • Encrypted there
  • Returned to you and your Guardians as an encrypted file

We never see or store the unencrypted version.

c. No tracking for ads

  • We don't sell your information.
  • We don't run ads.
  • We don't use your data for marketing.

3. What We Don't Store

We do not store:

  • Your device PIN
  • Your unencrypted vault content
  • The encrypted vault file
  • Any keys that could unlock your vault

All we keep is basic metadata so the service can function.

4. How Your Vault Is Shared

DevicePIN uses a simple "Guardian approval" system:

  • You choose your Guardians and assign roles during setup
  • If they ever need to help unlock your vault, they approve the request
  • The secure environment handles the unlock automatically
  • You can cancel any request at any time

Only people you choose can access your vault, and only under the rules you set.

We cannot modify your vault, unlock it, or change its rules — only the secure environment can do that when your conditions are met.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Send encrypted vault files to you and your Guardians
  • Send notifications about access requests
  • Keep the service running securely
  • Meet legal requirements if needed

We do not use your information for advertising or sale.

6. Where Your Data Lives

All processing happens on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. If you use DevicePIN from outside the U.S., you agree your data may be processed there.

7. Your Choices

You control:

  • Who your Guardians are when you create your vault
  • The roles and rules you choose at setup
  • When to cancel an access request
  • When to delete your account

To protect you, your vault's rules and Guardians cannot be changed after it is created. If you ever want different Guardians or new rules, simply create a new vault.

When you delete your account, all your metadata is removed from our systems. We cannot recover your vault afterward — we never stored it.

8. Kids' Privacy

DevicePIN is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We will let you know if we make important updates to this policy. If you keep using DevicePIN, you accept the updated terms.
